4th of July Regatta
Well. We did it! We raced both days in our first Regatta together. That’s me flying the spinnaker in the boat with the “rainbow coalition” spinnaker. Larry and Chris Sicignano were my crew mates. It was a lot of fun and we had a lot of highs and lows. Overall, a very good time sailing, winning, losing and drinking lots of beer. In a field of 8 boats, we finished 4th. I’m happy with that.
We were supposed to spend last Saturday night sleeping on Miss Gracie at Hemlock, but the weather kind of sucked. We decided to go early Sunday morning. So instead we went to Pomodorino (YUM) and a late show of The Last Airbender (enjoyable). Sunday was magnificent! The beach and ocean were amazing and Hemlock was lovely as well. We had a really nice sail home that I wish had been longer….We pulled in around 7PM and all felt we had had a really terrific day.
This Sunday we’ll head out to Watch Hill. We’ll stay for 2 or 3 days there and then head west to Sailor’s Haven (should be called Heaven). I’m really looking forward to getting away from EVERYTHING and just chilling with all my honeys. Summertime and the livin’ is easy. Can’t wait.
